A separate Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is elected by the Property Owners. The ACC reviews and approves construction plans and administers the Elkins Lake deed restrictions that serve to ensure the consistent application of community aesthetic standards.

All outside modifications or new construction in Elkins Lake requires both approval by the ACC and a City of Huntsville Building Permit. ACC approval is required prior to requesting a City Building Permit. The forms, filing fee, and all required documentation must be presented to the ELRC Administration Office before the ACC will review your project.

The committee meets weekly on Fridays at 9:00 am in the Administration Office.

The ACC has established and authorized the following filing fees. The filing fees are fully refundable upon completion of the project, provided all provisions of the Restrictions have been met, and the approved construction plans have been followed.
