Tennis Court Usage

With few exceptions, such as league matches and ELTPA events including Junior Tennis Camps and Clinics, and play days for tennis and/or pickleball, Elkins Lake has no formal system for reserving tennis courts. This listing of regularly scheduled activities during the busiest times shows when courts are most likely to be in use. The number of courts indicated is the maximum that would be needed for each activity. Except for scheduled group play or group lessons, please limit court time to one hour when others are waiting. Individual courts are not assigned or reserved.

Tennis Court Usage Priorities:
     1. League matches
     2. ELTPA Activities: Instructional camps and clinics, fundraiser, Member Play Days, youth group lessons
     3. Practices and/or drills for league teams
     4. Group social play for tennis or pickleball
     5. Private lessons and open courts for walk-ons

                                                                                                               GUEST POLICY
The Elkins Lake guest policy protects the value and privileges of your membership. We want our Property Owners to feel comfortable and eager to share their community and facilities with their guests, but, as a private Social Welfare Organization, we want to discourage frequent, re-occuring visits and any perception that Elkins Lake facilities may be used by simply paying a daily entrance fee.

1. Guests may not have discretionary access to Club facilities. They must be either accompanied or invited by a member.
2. Unaccompanied guests must be arranged for in advance by the Property Owner. If applicable, refer to the appropriate following Rules sections for procedures for receiving approval for unaccompanied guests.
3. Guests may use the facilities no more than three times in any 30 day period if they reside within 50 miles of Elkins Lake.

Rates are published annually and are available for review in the front office.

                                                                                                    TENNIS AND TENNIS COURTS
1. All players must wear regulation tennis shoes ONLY - NO CLEATED SHOES.
2. A shirt must be worn at all times.
3. No glass containers are allowed on the courts.
4. All litter must be deposited in the trash receptacle available.
5. Please limit your play if others are waiting for a court. A family may utlize only one court at a time if others are waiting to to play.
6. The Management may reserve courts for tournaments, exhibitions, and match play and in all other cases where, in its judgement, circumstances justify such reservations.
7. No bicycles, skateboards, vehicles, or other games are allowed.
8. Rules of customary standards of tennis etiquette and behavior will be observed by all players and guests.
9. After completion of play all lights are to be turned off.
10. Pets are not allowed on the tennis courts.
